Detroit’s Riverwalk and Dequindre Cut are Popular Locations for Senior Pictures

The top spot for on-location senior portraits is the Detroit Riverfront and Dequindre Cut. It provides such a wide variety of backdrops, ranging from urban to natural. Sometimes it is hard to believe you are actually downtown. There is nowhere else you can find a marina, lighthouse, the Renaissance Center, natural meadows and wetlands, graffiti art, a carousel, and an international border all in one location.

The RiverWalk includes Rivard Plaza, with its beautiful carousel, a bike rental shop (Wheelhouse Detroit), public bathrooms, and a snack shop. Adjacent to this area is Milliken State Park and Harbor – an urban park with a beautiful and natural setting. The Dequindre Cut, a pedestrian and bicycle pathway, has some amazing art created by some of the most talented graffiti artists in the City.
